Sue Webb's profile

Sue Webb

I am an Occupational Therapist based in South Somerset and have been qualified for 27 years. My experience has been predominantly in health care, working on acute medical wards and in rehabilitation units with a focus on functional and cognitive assessment and discharge planning. I have also worked in the hospital Safeguarding Team, supporting vulnerable adults, some of whom lacked the mental capacity to consent to their care and treatment. Although I continue to support the local acute Trust, over the past few years I have been focusing on community based private practice, carrying out assessments for equipment on behalf of charities and to support local authorities with minor adaptations, Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), care reviews and rehousing applications. I am passionate about supporting people to find solutions to enable them to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible in their own home with an emphasis on promoting function and safety and enhancing an individual’s quality of life.
