Simon is an independent Occupational Therapist that specialises in designing and adapting people’s homes to provide inclusive and accessible environments. Our clinical expertise is in the areas of housing adaptation and design, specialist equipment and technology provision and moving and handling.
We also provide consultancy and support services to corporate businesses, public organisations and other therapists.
He has extensive experience in both the private and statutory sectors of providing home assessments and design of major and minor home adaptations. He has worked in specialist housing teams and is experienced in working alongside architects and surveyors. Simon also has expertise in recommending specialist equipment and assistive technology to enable his clients to remain active and independent within their homes and communities.
Simon is an Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) qualified moving and handling trainer. He has extensive experience of completing moving and handling risk assessments, recommending moving and handling equipment, providing moving plans for use by carers and family members and providing on site education and training for clients individual needs. He is also able to provide individual or group moving and handling of people training.
