I have over 20 years experience in Occupational Therapy (and over 30 working with children and adults with physical and learning disabilities). As an Occupational Therapist I specialise in providing Sensory/cognitive/motor based interventions to meet functional goals in paediatrics & Learning Disability. I have worked in private, NHS, social services and charity sectors. My roles have included wheelchairs, aids and adaptations, in patient brain injury, out patient neuro, assessment and treatment unit, intermediate care, acute hospitals, fatigue management, memory assessment clinic, older adults mental health, mental health and learning disability.
When I left the NHS I was a Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist.
I am a very dynamic therapist and constantly analyse and adapt input to meet the needs of the client.
I am experienced in providing services to schools, homes, families, case managers and community settings.
I have specialist skills, training and experience in: functional assessment, paediatrics, cerebral palsy, sensory integration, trauma, autism, learning disability and independent/supported living.
I provide telephone advice and bespoke goal based therapy programmes.
I work closely with SALT, Physiotherapists and Educational Psychologists
I can provide supervision and mentoring.
