Since qualifying as an Occupational Therapist 25 years ago, Shelley has worked as an Occupational Therapist and Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant within statutory, non-statutory and corporate sectors. Shelley has extensive experience working with adults, older persons and young people who present with complex mental health needs, brain and spinal cord injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain, neurological conditions, and those who have sustained catastrophic personal injuries.

Shelley has worked across community and acute care settings in a variety of clinical and leadership roles. She is expert in the assessment, analysis and treatment of occupational function and performance. She is skilled in offering comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and providing measurable rehabilitation and vocational plans for clients with complex presentations or conditions. She is experienced in facilitating and coordinating partnerships between stakeholders (eg: employers, insurers, lawyers, unions and medical teams), in order to deliver an accountable, measurable service whereby client needs are prioritised. Shelley is committed to her continued professional development and has developed additional skills and qualifications to augment practice and intervention in areas such as:- • Mental Health First Aid Trainer and National Trainer MHFA England • CDMP – Certified Disability Management Professional • Dialectical Behavioural Skills Therapy • Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) Shelley works as both Clinical Operations Manager and Mental Health Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist for Kate Meads Associates. She is responsible for the development and coordination of referrals and contracts, service development, supervision, training, one to one specialist assessments, occupational therapy and vocational rehabilitation treatment plans. Shelley is highly motivated and committed to the delivery of high quality, results orientated services.
