I graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy in 2011 and have over 14 years’ experience working with adults and young people following illness or injury. Through my company, Thistle Occupational Therapy & Case Management Ltd, I provide independent occupational therapy, case management, and expert witness services across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
I have extensive experience supporting individuals with traumatic and acquired brain injury, stroke, spinal injury, amputation, and complex orthopaedic and neurological conditions. My assessments focus on identifying the impact of injury on daily function and developing practical, realistic strategies to promote independence, safety, and wellbeing.
Recommendations often include tailored rehabilitation programmes, specialist equipment, and home or environmental adaptations. I also carry out accommodation suitability assessments to ensure housing and planned adaptations meet clients’ current and future needs.
I accept referrals from solicitors for both case management and expert witness work, providing clear, evidence-based reports that outline functional impact and include costed recommendations for rehabilitation, care, equipment, and environmental changes.
My approach is person-centred, outcome-focused, and grounded in collaboration with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. I believe rehabilitation is not just about recovery it’s about rebuilding a meaningful, fulfilling life with the right support and environment in place.
