I am the Founder of Enabled2Parent. We are a National Registered charity. I provide assessments, advice and information about life as a Disabled Parent. I work with disabled mothers and fathers, their families and agencies, charities and organizations in the public, private and commercial sectors with links to the baby and parenting arena.
I recognized the need for the service when I became a disabled parent and experienced the gaps in provision and understanding for a parent with disabilities or additional support needs. I can assess and advise about the impact of disabilities and additional support needs on the life role of parenting. We are concerned with the functional aspects of parenting with a disability. We do NOT address parenting capacity.
We offer bespoke training, advice about equipment, risk assessment, and analysis of the impact of a disability on the life role of parenting and the mitigation or accommodation of any associated risks.
We will provide long and short term support to disabled parents and professionals
We will provide peer support to clients and link them in with others with similar health needs if they give consent to this
Parents and professionals may make referrals via email to [email protected].
Enabled2Parent will accept referrals about a disabled parent at any stage in their parenting journey.
The majority of assessments are done online.
Enabled2Parent charges for the services it provides. Referral agencies can request charging policy at the initial enquiry.
