Sara Hatton's profile

Sara Hatton

I am an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist with 14 years paediatric experience in both NHS and Social Care. I specialise in major and minor housing adaptations, specialist equipment and moving and handling.

I work with children and young people with a variety of complex disabilities, and offer comprehensive assessments and reports to help create environments that promote independence and participation, increase safety and enable parents/carers to care for their loved ones safely in their chosen environment. I am a creative thinker, and enjoy exploring new assistive technology and environmental controls to increase independence within the modern era.

I have built valuable relationships with equipment reps and I'm skilled in the assessment and recommendation of a variety of equipment such as shower chairs, bath seats, stair lifts, hoisting equipment and beds.

I am approachable and empathetic, and I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals and their families to ensure their needs and wishes are at the centre of any assessment, goal setting and interventions. I value the importance of working seamlessly with wider multidisciplinary teams, and pride myself on the quality and timeliness of my work.
