Occupational Therapy Online - from the comfort of your own home

During the pandemic I have offered my expertise to a Post Covid Rehabilitation Service and therefore understand the need for more immediate support with neurological and post viral health challenges and the pressures on services. I therefore offer online therapy that by-passes long waiting lists or can be used to complement any intervention. In my approach I aim to build insight as well as bridges with client and care giver. This can ease the emotional, mental and physical demands that health challenges can place on us. In my work within stroke, brain injury and long-term conditions I practice strategies and recommend routines that help the client to adjust and progresses rehabilitation. I recognise the importance of personalised care and offer practical solutions to every day difficulties. My rehabilitation and therapy often includes individualised phased return to work planning which benefits from my liaison with employers and other health professionals. I also provide ‘one off’ consultations for simple practical advice on activities of daily living. My main focus will be on personal strengths to help overcome any weaknesses. This will enable the client to become more productive through meaningful goals and activity. Ultimately, this will lead to an improved quality of life, greater independence and a sense of wellbeing.

Testimonial: “The empathy and care, insight and support you have offered me has made such a difference in my life and I finally feel like I am moving forwards.”
