I qualified as an an Occupational Therapist in 1999 and throughout my career I have worked with clients with temporary & permanent physical impairments. I have worked with patients in short stay, highly acute settings, but I also have extensive experience in rehabilitation, home assessments & the provision of assistive equipment and both minor & major housing adaptations. I consider myself highly competent to assess the manual handling requirements of impaired persons, including those living with long term conditions. I have worked widely in General Medicine and Care of the Older Person. Therefore I have experience with a great variety of temporary & permanent physical impairments & conditions, including Falls, Dementia, Respiratory & mobility problems, issues with Manual Handling, Oncology & Palliative Care.
