Romy Pikoos is a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of expertise in dementia care.

As the founder of MindKeepers, Romy specialises in the Montessori Approach to Dementia, aiming to empower and support organisations, families, and caregivers of individuals with dementia.

Romy has significantly impacted the field as the dementia lead for a prominent organisation, overseeing care in multiple care homes, day centres, and home care services. Her primary focus lies in implementing the Montessori approach, which emphasises creating a supportive environment to promote independence, dignity, and a sense of purpose for individuals with dementia. Romy has trained over 200 individuals in this innovative method, enhancing their skills in providing exceptional dementia care.

MindKeepers offers a range of services including initial consultations, individualised care plans, behavioural management strategies, home environment assessments, and ongoing support. The aim is to guide families/organisations through the complexities of dementia care, ensuring both the well-being of individuals with dementia and their caregivers.

Romy's dedication extends internationally, having presented at conferences in Paris, London, and Amsterdam, and she was a finalist for the British Care Awards in the dementia category.
