With over 8 years of experience working with children, Becca specialises in neurorehabilitation for babies and children, with a particular focus on upper limb therapies, such as bimanual therapy and modified constraint-induced movement therapy. Her diverse experience spans specialist and mainstream schools, private clinics, charities, community teams, and a tertiary hospital. Becca is currently part-time at the Evelina Children's Hospital, where she works in the upper limb specialist team, providing blocks of therapy for children with hemiplegia, as well as working in the multi-disciplinary neuromuscular and upper limb surgical teams. In addition to her clinical work, Becca is the Joint Clinical Lead of Breathe Magic, an innovative intensive therapy camp that supports young people with hemiplegia to develop their independence, psychosocial skills, and hand function. Becca is also the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Lead for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) Specialist Section - Children, Young People, and Families, where she hosts courses for Occupational Therapists on various topics. Her clinical expertise and specialist interests are centred on neurological and congenital upper limb injuries, as well as congenital or acquired brain injuries. Becca is passionate about delivering intensive therapy and early developmental programmes that integrate evidence-based practice, child and family-centred care, and lots of fun to meet the holistic needs of young people and their families.
