I qualified in 2000 and very quickly specialised within physical disabilities and neurological rehabilitation, for over twelve years. I have worked in three acute NHS trusts within Birmingham, working with stroke, head injuries and general rehabilitation. I have also worked in a community integration unit for the Brain Injury Rehab Trust. I have experience of goal orientated, specialist assessment and treatment planning, with the main focus of increasing an individuals level of independence within daily activity. I also am able to treat clients with a wide range of complex physical, cognitive and behavioral problems, but am also able to recommend appropriate level of care, wheelchair provision, adaptive equipment and environmental assessments. I now work privately, working with clients in their own homes. I carry out client centred, specific assessments and treatment programmes. I also am a case manager.
