I am an OT with over 25 years experience working with adults, and young people with complex disabilities. I believe passionately in client centred practice and work to assist people to achieve their goals. I provide a comprehensive assessment from which rehabilitation goals are identified, and I work with the client to achieve these. Rehabilitation may involve a graded programme working towards specific goals which may include: community integration, fatigue management, vocational rehabilitation, or advice on specialist equipment. I also provide specialist work assessments including: vocational assessments, and work site assessments. Should a more specialised assessment be required I carry out Functional Capacity Evaluations which establishes a persons ability to complete work tasks. I work with clients through private referral, as well as working with solicitors and case managers. I work with clients as part of a MDT and liaise with other professionals regarding the clients progress.
