Nicola Lawson I qualified as an occupational therapist in 1997 and have maintained my clinical development throughout my career. Other courses include MSc modules in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Hand therapy, Civil Procedure Rules and Court Room Experience.

The Rehab Team

I am an experienced occupational therapist who specialises in the assessment and rehabilitation of clients with trauma and orthopaedic conditions, ranging from elective orthopaedic surgery to complex trauma injuries including limb amputations, hand injuries and severe burns. I am also the Clinical Director for The Rehab Team, sourcing and vetting experienced therapists across the UK for private clients.

I have worked in a varied of different clinical settings and establishments, including the NHS, charities, and private practice. I am based in the East Midlands and currently accepts private referrals, visiting clients in their own homes or place of work.

I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and the British Association of Hand Therapists (BAHT). I am registered with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and I am committed to keeping abreast of clinical issues and maintaining professional standards.

I have undergone formal training in Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) pertaining to Expert Witnesses and I accept medico-legal instructions from solicitors through Somek & Associates Ltd.
