Nichola Ryder (Nicky) I specialise in areas of Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Cognitive Impairments, including Brain Injury.
I am further a highly experienced Mental Capacity Assessor.
Mental Capacity Ltd
I am an exceptionally hard-working, creative individual, with a passion for promoting meaningful engagement, and an individual’s rights. I uphold a holistic solution focused approach that actively applies Occupational Therapy theory to enable individuals within their individual journeys, helping them to ‘live and not just exist’.
I keep Occupational Therapy practices at the heart of all I do, representing and celebrating our unique health care body in how we bridge the divide between Mental Health and Physical health care practices. Within my roles, I actively take on a range of projects to support the team, provide training, identify and apply ways to develop services, trial projects and support research. Experiences over the years have sparked a dedication to raising awareness and knowledge legal and ethical rights, specifically surrounding the Mental Capacity Act. This has led me to start Mental Capacity Ltd alongside my business partner; to promote, partner and protect.
