Boost Potential Occupational Therapy for Children

I am Jo Judge, a Specialist Children’s Occupational Therapist. I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2009 from the University of Derby. During my Occupational Therapy training I was lucky to have a paediatric practice placement. This confirmed my aspirations of wanting to work with children in my future career.

I pride myself on working hard to develop a lasting rapport with the families that I work with, building up trust with them and working together to enable children to develop and become as independent as possible in any path they choose.

I have experience of working in the community with children of varying complexities. I am very used of working with children in their own homes, schools and in nurseries. I am passionate about ensuring all children have equal access to education and to provide strategies to help them to reach their potential in everyday life whatever that may be.

I have experience of working with a variety of children with differing diagnoses including:

  • Physical Disabilities eg. Cerebral Palsy
  • Development Delay
  • Coordination Difficulties and Poor Motor Planning and Organisation Skills eg. Developmental coordination Disorder (DCD), Dyspraxia
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Fine and Gross Motor Difficulties
  • Sensory Processing Difficulties
  • Visual Perception Difficulties
