Gisela is a highly skilled independent occupational therapist with over 20 years experience in the field of peadiatrics. Having run her her own practice for 16 years and working in a variety of NHS, mainstream and special school settings, Gisela strives to help children to reach their maximum potential in all areas of daily living. She is skilled at delivering bespoke assessment and treatment packages to children of all ages; incorporating the child's physical, sensory and educational needs.
Gisela works closely with children and their families in Berkshire, Hampshire and parts of Surrey, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. She visits children in their home, nursery and /or school environments and is skilled at providing advice and recommendations for children who are experiencing difficulties with functional daily living activities, such as dressing, feeding, personal hygiene, organisation and handwriting.
Gisela provides target driven therapy in collaboration with the child's parents, caregivers and / or teaching staff. When necessary, she is able to provide bespoke therapy programmes and advice on minor adaptive equipment / assistive devices. Training sessions can be provided to parents, caregivers and teaching staff on request.
