I have a significant breadth and depth of experience in Occupational Therapy assessment in neurological conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Acquired Brain Injury as well as in developmental disabilities such as Autism, Dyspraxia, Developmental Coordination Disorder and ADHD. I am happy to assess any child who is struggling with motor or sensory processing to help establish the reasons for their difficulties and will only recommend intervention if there is a clinical need.
A child centred approach is key to my intervention and after establishing strengths and weaknesses with you and your child we will work together to develop new purposeful skills.
I can support your child at specific times such as transition to a new school. Undertaking a variety of activities such as being the child's advocate, developing sensory strategies, negotiating specific adjustments or providing practical support.
Report can be provided for Educational Health Care Plans, schools other organisations or agencies.
I am passionate about sharing knowledge of how to support children and I deliver training to schools and paediatric therapists, as by working together we can make a real difference.
