The focus of Lynda Niles OT Associates is to provide specialised Occupational Therapy services to meet the individual needs of children and young people who may present with complex difficulties and needing a joined-up tailored approach to meet these needs. Sometime adults also make use of these services especially when receiving a diagnosis later in life of a developmental disorder such as autistic spectrum disorder or dyspraxia etc.
As an occupational therapist Lynda has experiences in working with a range of clinical conditions that include emotional health and wellbeing issues as well as neuro-developmental, social communication difficulties, and self-regulation problems etc.
Lynda has undertaken additional training in Sensory Integration Therapy and combines this approach with tradition occupational therapy to,
- Promote and develop independent living skills,
- Improve performance and abilities in learning, studying and working (productivity), and
- Support participation in leisure, recreation and social / community
activities etc.
All work is focused around robust assessment processes and opportunities to review, monitor and track changes through goal setting etc.
Lynda Niles OT Associates is also available to deliver a range of training and workshop resources both in relation to clinical areas of expertise, but also to assist in staff support and development, this may include supervision and service audits etc.
