**I only have a limited availability for assessment only. This is due to working around my neurodiverse son and his EOTAS package. **
I have over 20 years experience of working with children, young people and adults, however I specialise more in young people an children. I use an eclectic, quiet, neurodiverse affirming, trauma responsive and non judgemental approach to my assessment and work with children young people and their families. My specialist intertest is in neurodiversity, mental health, behaviours and the effects of trauma. I have worked with children and young people with psychosis, ODD, OCD, PDA profile, anxiety, depression, self-harm, coordination difficulties, gross and fine motor skill difficulties and children and young people that are unable to attend school. I am also experienced in the effects of sensory processing and how they can impact someone physically, emotionally and their availability to learn. I have worked in the NHS (community paediatrics and CAMHs (inpatient and community), as well in specialist schools and mainstreams schools and now work independently. I have set up and run a therapy team in a school and have been part of a school senior management team. I am also experienced in writing EHCP and tribunal assessment and annual review reports. I am a mum to two great kids. One is neurotypical and the other neurodiverse. I have been through the diagnosis pathway as a parent, as well as the EHCP and tribunal process with my own son and understand well the stresses and complexities of navigating the education system for a child with additional needs. I keep my knowledge up to date through training and other CPD opportunities. I have completed my level 1 in Sensory Attachment Intervention (SAI) and well as Sensory Integration 1 and 2 and hold a certificate in Solution Focused therapy. Other trainings include Bond Salon Excellence in report writing, dyspraxia UK, attachment, and psychopathology, SCERTS, AMPS and IPSEA’s levels 1-3 SEN Law training.
