I have only limited availability for assessment due to working around my neurodiverse son and his EOTAS package.
I have 20+ years’ experience working with children, young people and adults – specialising in children and young people; using an eclectic, quiet, neurodiverse affirming, trauma responsive and non-judgemental approach. My specialist interests are neurodiversity, mental health, behaviours and the effects of trauma. I have worked with children and young people with psychosis, ODD, OCD, PDA profile, anxiety, depression, self-harm, coordination difficulties, gross and fine motor skill difficulties and those unable to attend school. I am also experienced in sensory processing and impact (physical, emotional and availability to learn). I have worked in the NHS (community paediatrics and CAMHs - inpatient and community); and mainstream and specialist schools. I now work independently - having set up and run a school therapy and been part of a school senior management team. I am also experienced in writing EHCP and tribunal assessment and annual review reports. I am mum to two great kids - one is neurotypical and the other neurodiverse - and have been through the diagnosis, EHCP and tribunal processes with my own son and so understand the associated stresses and complexities.
I keep up-to-date with training/CPD opportunities - completing Sensory Attachment Intervention 1 (SAI); Sensory Integration 1 and 2; certificate in Solution Focused Therapy; Bond Salon Excellence in report writing, dyspraxia UK; attachment and psychopathology; SCERTS; AMPS and IPSEAs levels 1-3; SEN Law training.
