I am an occupational therapist with extensive experience working in private practice within the field of neurological rehabilitation. I enjoy working with adults and young people with cognitive, behavioural, and sensory related difficulties that impact their ability to participate in everyday activities and reach their potential.
I have a passion to support clients to achieve their personalised goals what ever that be. This might include returning to employment, thriving in education, integrating back into the community, resuming or beginning new interests or hobbies, and overall improve their quality of life. I love getting to know clients and their families, and enjoy being part of an interdisciplinary team, sharing skills and knowledge to support rehabilitation outcomes. I am passionate about advocating for the client to get the most out their rehabilitation.
I am completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Sensory Integration which is due for completion in Summer 2024; I am able to apply these new skills and learning to the rehabilitation assessment and intervention that I carry out. I have used these skills across the lifespan, and it has supported the clients and teams I work with to understand the behaviours experienced or seen from a different perspective.
