Lara is a lively, friendly and passionate Occupational Therapist and Case Manager. Lara uses a person centred problem solving approach to support individuals to have meaningful, purposeful lives, and occupation.
Lara qualified at the University of Derby in 2005, since this time she worked in a number of hospitals and community settings gaining experience in elderly, neurology, oncology, vascular and trauma and elective orthopaedic. Lara spent time in Australia working within a new MDT team reducing restrictive practice for individuals with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. Lara returned to the UK and gained extensive experience of mental health and community learning disabilities teams. Lara then returned to Australia and worked for a non government organisation improving the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
Lara has since spent time working alongside case managers supporting individuals with complex trauma.
Lara is registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (HCPC), a member of the Royal College of Occupational therapy (RCOT) and the specialist section of independent practice. Lara is also a member of Case Manager Society of United Kingdom (CMSUK) and the Brain Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM). Lara holds an enhanced DBS certificate and data protection registration with the ICO.
