I work with children who have physical disabilities and complex needs, including acquired brain injury, amputations, cerebral palsy, genetic and congenital conditions, and neurodiversity. I am passionate about delivering high-quality care and thoroughly enjoy working directly with children and young people as well as supporting their families, carers, school staff and the wider multi-disciplinary team around each child.
I have specific experience in assessing and providing strategies and intervention for sensory processing difficulties (including oral motor strategies); seating and postural management requirements; and fine and gross motor skill difficulties, including developing self-care skills and handwriting skills.
I am committed to maximising children's independence and confidence at home, school, college or nursery. Each child should be allowed to be as independent as reasonably possible and have fun while learning these skills.
