Flourish with Fatigue

My practice is called Flourish with Fatigue (www.flourishwithfatigue.co.uk) where I work alongside a psychotherapist to support people living with ME/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), long COVID, post-viral fatigue, fibromyalgia, work-related or autistic burnout, menopause, neurological conditions, or ongoing symptoms without a clear diagnosis. We understand that living with fatigue is different from feeling tired. It can feel persistent, fluctuating, delayed, and unpredictable, and is often accompanied by changes in thinking, sleep problems, pain, low mood, anxiety, and many more. Our aim is to help you do more of the things that are important to you whether that’s working, engaging in physical activities, managing home life, and nurturing important relationships, or simply finding more ease and balance in your everyday life.

Working together (online or phone), we can explore tangible achievable strategies to adjust how you do things, problem-solve ways to navigate the physical, emotional, and social barriers, and weave meaningful activities into your routine. I draw from behaviour change science, neurorehabilitation, mindfulness, as well as psychological models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. I have a particular interest in helping people with cognitive problems and returning to work. I describe my style as warm, collaborative, and holistic.

I’ve been an Occupational Therapist since 2006, graduating with a Master’s from Boston University. I have worked in the NHS in London for the last 15 years, most recently as a therapy lead in a specialist fatigue service, and previously as a Highly Specialist OT supporting people with neurological conditions.
