I am a highly skilled paediatric occupational therapist, with a post graduate diploma in Occupational Therapy from London Southbank University and 15+ years paediatric experience.
I have worked for both the NHS and the independent sector - in London within Child Development Teams as a Clinical Specialist, and Surrey - with experience working with children in mainstream and special nurseries/schools.
Working with a broad range of conditions but specialising in developmental delay, social and communication disorders, sensory processing, developmental co-ordination disorder, handwriting and visual perceptual difficulties.
I provide joined up integrated working and practical solutions, link in with other allied health professionals and consultant community paediatricians to contribute assessment reports towards social communication assessments and DCD/ dyspraxia diagnostic assessments.
I have involvement working with local authorities to provide input into children's Educational Health Care Plans.
I have completed masters level post graduate training in sensory processing; and a passion for working with children with a range of conditions, providing comprehensive assessment and bespoke recommendations and interventions. Working with the whole team, parents, health and education to help achieve the child's ultimate goals.
I am registered with both The British Association of Occupational Therapists and the Health Care Professions Council, of which one can only register if they have an accredited qualification. I am a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists specialist sections; Children, Young People and Families and Independent Practice, to maintain professional development and keep abreast of current research and practice.
