Specialist Independent Occupational Therapist & Sensory Integration Practitioner based in Greater Manchester. I am able to work across the North West, depending on the client need.
My principal experience is working within paediatrics, supporting young children, adolescents, and young adults with their occupational performance in their activities of daily living. I am also able to support adults and older adults with their occupational therapy needs where appropriate too. I am able to offer a range of specialist assessments, bespoke advice, and interventions to best support individuals to optimise their independence and overcome barriers experienced which impact their daily lives in a client-focused and taking a collaborative manner. Including sensory-based approaches, sensory integration, and functional aspects of activities of daily living.
I have experience in working in a multitude of settings, including statutory NHS services, private sector, and including clinic spaces, school settings (mainstream and specialist or resourced provision), and within clients local communities. Also working closely alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals, family members, and other individuals key to the client. As required, I work directly with a highly specialist Physiotherapist and therapy assistant with a wealth of experience to be able to offer a tailored and truly holistic approach.
I have experience with equipment provision and signposting to services, networking with a wide range of representatives from basic to more complex equipment. I also have an ever-growing network of Occupational Therapists, as well as other allied healthcare professions, which I have the opportunity to mentor and undertake, peer supervision with on a regular basis.
My passion for working with children and adopting a sensory-based approach to my professionalism shines through the work I complete. Each client is unique to their experienced difficulties and therefore I am eager to encourage a bespoke service to each individual I support.
