I am passionate about my areas of practice and have a personal interest in Autism and Mental Health. I started working as an independent occupational therapist, covering Cheshire and surrounding areas (see JBOT-UK webpage for service area map), in 2021; having previously worked within the NHS as an Adult Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist - working with adults to foster independence, improve engagement in meaningful occupation and identify associated barriers. I was later employed as a co-clinical lead for occupational therapy in tier four inpatient Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services - working with children/young people with complex/enduring mental health conditions.
I have worked in multi-disciplinary teams assessing/diagnosing Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), Dyspraxia and ADHD; am trained to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, 2nd Edition (ADOS-2) Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and the UKKAN ADHD assessment and diagnosis training, Dyspraxia UK DCD diagnosis and assessment course. I have completed/continue to undertake training in girls/women on the Autism Spectrum, Acceptance Commitment Therapy in coaching Autism and neurodiversity, and Adverse Childhood Experiences.
I am experienced in identifying sensory processing differences, through my prior employment and training and having graduated as a Sensory Integration Practioner at Sheffield Hallam University. Please visit my webpage for more information and a free quote.
