As a person centred, compassionate and holistic occupational therapist, I support adults of all ages experiencing a range of issues such as the challenges of ageing (including falls), palliative/terminal conditions, cancer, fatigue, long term conditions (MS, spinal injury, stroke, outcomes of accidental injury, etc) and mild to moderate mental health issues such as anxiety and depression.
I work in partnership with my clients focusing on what is important to them and supporting them to identify and achieve their goals through bespoke strategies and interventions. This can include: equipment and home adaptations, practical advice, functional rehabilitation, falls prevention, condition management, problem solving, coaching strategies, anxiety management, fatigue management, carer support etc. I also support individuals and families with difficult conversations and decisions about planning for end of life.
In addition to my work with patients, I have a keen interest in supporting health and social care workers with their own personal well-being and their professional development; offering them support with planning and implementing self-care strategies, clinical supervision, coaching/mentoring, and training.
I work in my clients’ homes and other places that are relevant to what they are working on (work, leisure venues etc), as well as virtually as needed.
You are very welcome to contact me with any questions or for a no-obligation phone or video chat about your needs.
