Hi, I’m Grainne (Grawnia). I have over 10 years experience working with children and young people and since 2021 have specialized in working with Autistic children, children with ADHD, children with learning disabilities as well as Looked After Children and Adopted Children.
I have completed post graduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration, Sensory Attachment and Neurodiversity. I work in a neuro affirming manner and through a trauma and attachment informed lens if these are appropriate.
I can complete assessments that cover sensory needs, handwriting, fine and gross motor coordination and life skills. I can offer these to families, school or local authorities. I can also complete assessments and provide reports as part of an EHC Needs Assessment.
I am particularly passionate about helping the parents, caregivers and schools understand their child’s sensory needs and arming them with the tools and knowledge they can use to help them. To meet this need, I offer parent workshops and training or consultation packages to schools. I work in a way that means I can offer these services in a cost-effective manner.
I love building therapeutic relationships and getting to know the young people and their families and feel very privileged to be able to work in the role that I do.
