Georgina Salzke-Spurr's profile

Georgina Salzke-Spurr Master of Occupational Therapy, Graduate Certificate in Therapeautic Child Play, Bachelor of Nursing

Georgina Salzke-Spurr

Over 9 years paediatric disability experience within Australia and the United Kingdom. I am experienced in supporting children with autism and other developmental disorders, their families and teaching teams.

I enjoy working with children and families to support children to participate in every day functional activities including self-care, play and school participation. I am experienced working with children who have difficulties completing everyday tasks due to: delays in difficulties with motor skills, visual processing, social skills, and play skills; problem solving/organisation and planning skills; and sensory processing and regulation differences that impact everyday tasks

I offer the SOS approach to feeding for children who have difficulties exploring a variety of foods in their diets; the Cognitive Orientation to Daily Occupational Performance (CO-OP) for children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD)/dyspraxia and play-based social skills sessions using the Social Thinking and The Brick-by-Brick programme

I am passionate about working collaboratively with families and teaching teams to create supportive environments that empower children to achieve their goals across home, school and community settings.
