Emma Havercroft's profile

Emma Havercroft

I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2004 and specialise in the field of Neurology, working with adults with acquired and traumatic brain injuries (including stroke) and progressive neurological conditions.

I have predominately worked for the NHS, although more latterly working within the independent sector, supporting those going through the litigation process, through one off armed forces assessments, blue badge application, and vocational rehabilitation assessments.

I have extensive experience in working with clients with cognitive, emotional and physical impairments, and a passion for vocational rehabilitation. I am skilled in the assessment of postural management, seating and splinting, and frequently support clients to return to their usual activities, through a graded, 24 hour approach. I also offer equipment and adapation, and manual handling advice.

I am passionate about brain injury, co-founding our local Headway branch, which I am chair of. I have also completed my masters in Vocational Rehabilitation, and a module in Stroke Rehabilitation. I am trained in The Assessment of Motor and Processing Skills and the Bobath Concept.

I am HCPC registered and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapy Specialist sections- Neurological Practice and Independent Practice. I have full indemnity insurance.
