Hello my name is Ellie Steer, I co-founded Regulate to Communicate in 2024 with my amazing Speech & Language Therapy business partner, after running my own private company, Sensory Space UK, for 6 years. I have over 10 years experience as an Occupational Therapist and over 15 years experience working with young people, adolescents and adults with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, mental health needs and sensory needs.
I have worked in the NHS and independently. I have worked closely with local authorities, schools, workplaces, solicitors, charities and families to deliver comprehensive occupational therapy and sensory assessments and therapeutic interventions. I am passionate about empowering others to be the therapist in their life or job role; therefore, I offer many training packages for schools, parents/carers, young people, other professionals and workplaces. My work is mostly focused on sensory integration however, I use a holistic approach to practice considering your mental, emotional, cognitive, social and physical needs.
