Diana is a highly experienced, adaptable and client focused Occupational Therapist with over 25 years specialising in the assessment and treatment of neurological conditions in adult rehabilitation.
Diana is clinically skilled and experienced in working with a wide range of physical conditions, including acquired brain injury, cerebral palsy, neurological conditions, stroke, learning difficulties and rheumatology. Skilled in both assessment of client needs and hands on physical and cognitive/fatigue treatment.
Diana is passionate about good positioning and seating for clients. She designed and developed through to manufacture; arm and hand support cushions, initially for stroke patients and subsequently for use with a wide variety of conditions
Diana can provide bespoke community rehabilitation to help a person achieve their goals. Diana also works with architects on housing adaptation and design to provide adapted environments to maximise client independence.
Diana can provide client specific Moving and Handling assessment and advice and can advise on accommodation adaptation and specialist equipment to maximise independence.
Diana is a trainer for the Royal College of Occupational Therapy; Start up and Succeed.
Diana also possesses additional skills teaching stress management and relaxation for living. This can be an independent process or complimentary to an Occupational Therapy rehabilitation programme.
Diana's extensive experience in this area has been achieved as an Occupational Therapist at various NHS hospitals including Addenbrokes Cambridge and Queens Medical Centre Nottingham, Birmingham Heartlands and Leicester and Leicestershire Trusts and as an Independent Occupational Therapist since 2008, working with NHS Complex Care Teams, Case Managers and private clients.
