Clare has as worked as an Occupational Therapist for over 25 years. She has experience working with children of all ages with both mild and complex disabilities; including Developmental Trauma, Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Co-ordination Disorder and Sensory Integration Dysfunction.
Clare has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, in clinics, in both mainstream and special schools, nurseries, children's homes and respite care places.
Clare has completed postgraduate training in numerous treatment approaches including BUSS, Theraplay, Attachment and Developmental Trauma, Sensory Integration and is a qualified Bobath therapist. She has also completed additional courses in postural management, DCD, handwriting and splinting all in addition to a postgraduate diploma in Management of Childhood Disability.
Clare is experienced in using a variety of assessment tools both standardised and non-standardised and using a variety of treatment approaches tailor-made to help the child, their family and carers meet their needs and maximise their potential in everyday life.
