Occupational therapists can work with you to achieve the things that are important to you and to engage in the activities that you want and need to, using a personalised holistic approach.
This may be achievable through a one-off assessment and report of advice or may require more interactions and a longer period of rehabilitation.
Interventions may include support following a hospital stay, falls prevention, environmental assessments, activity modifications, equipment provision and advice, fatigue management, sleep hygiene, upper limb rehabilitation, confidence building.
Visits predominantly take place in your home.
I have recent experience in a variety of acute and community settings with a wide range of patients with various health conditions. I have post graduate training in thermoplastic splinting, assessment of motor and processing skills, sensory processing, specialist seating, enhanced safeguarding.
I have special interests in neurological rehabilitation and equipment services (e.g. manual handling equipment and specialist seating).
