Charlotte's clinical experience includes leading a team of Specialist Therapists as a Clinical Specialist within Stroke and Neuro-sciences to deliver high quality therapy/clinical excellence across the wards of a busy, teaching hospital.
Charlotte has extensive experience working in specialist Neuro-rehabilitation and Enablement community teams.
Charlotte is experienced in vocational rehabilitation having worked for a large London based insurance broker as an Occupational Health Consultant - providing assistance to clients returning to work after complex accidents/illness; working alongside Human Resource Teams, Managers and Insurers to recommend workplace adjustments (incl. worksite assessments, graduated return to work plans and advice on transition into the clients' own or alternative work role)s.
Charlotte works with adults who have complex cognitive, behavioural and physical difficulties; with specialist skills to assess and manage problems relating to seating, posture, upper limb, dyspraxia, visual, perceptual problems and fatigue. Treatment approaches include functional/activities of daily living (ADL); retraining, cognitive rehabilitation and practical solutions for home adaptation/equipment.
Charlotte provides a comprehensive assessment and management plan to progress each case with clarity and a clinical rationale. She is confident in the communication of evidence based, therapeutic plans and outcomes through a wide variety of means (e.g. formal teaching, presentations to senior managers, running outpatient clinics and support groups for families and carers).
Charlotte works closely with case managers, solicitors in the Medico-Legal field as a treating clinician but does not undertake Expert Witness work.
