I am an experienced Occupational Therapist with a broad background spanning community social care, acute and rehabilitation services, discharge-to-assess pathways, care homes and independent neurodiversity practice. Since qualifying with a BHSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy, I have developed strong skills in holistic and functional assessment, clinical reasoning, risk management, complex discharge planning, rehabilitation and reablement. My practice includes assessing and recommending minor equipment, bespoke moving and handling solutions, seating and postural support, assistive technology and major housing adaptations. I am confident completing mental capacity assessments, contributing to best-interest and safeguarding processes, resolving complex family dynamics and supporting proportionate risk enablement. I work effectively and autonomously while maintaining close multidisciplinary and multi-agency relationships with physiotherapists, social workers, care providers, commissioners, families and other professionals. Through my private practice, I have also built specialist experience in supporting neurodivergent children and adults, including people with ADHD and autism, advising schools on reasonable adjustments, educating individuals and families about nervous-system regulation and self-accommodation, and supporting perimenopausal women with their mental health in the context of neurodivergence. I bring clear communication, advocacy, report writing, service coordination, staff training, supervision and practice-education skills, together with a compassionate, person-centred and evidence-informed approach focused on safety, independence and meaningful participation.
