Cara Tucker's profile

Cara Tucker MSc Occupational Therapy, BSc (Hons) Biological Sciences, EMCC & PCI Accredited Skills in Health Coaching, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Vitality OT

I qualified in 2010 and spent nearly nine years working across a wide range of NHS hospital services before specialising in stroke and neurology. Since 2018, I have worked in private practice, providing therapy online and rehabilitation in people’s homes.

My specialist training includes cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia, health coaching and a range of psychological approaches, with a particular interest in sleep, menstrual health and healthy ageing.

I support adults with rehabilitation and therapy following illness or hospital admission, helping them return to their usual routines. This may include improving strength, balance and mobility, managing fatigue and pain, addressing memory and cognitive difficulties, adapting activities, reducing reliance on equipment, and optimising sleep and lifestyle to support recovery.

I also work with older adults who wish to maintain independence as they age, offering support with mobility and falls prevention, home safety, cognitive changes, pain and fatigue, sleep and lifestyle optimisation, and mental wellbeing. Support for families and carers is included where helpful.

I offer home visits in South Buckinghamshire and online appointments across the UK.
