I am an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist working with children, young people and adults across CAMHS, education, community, adult social care and independent practice settings.
My current practice includes supporting children and young people with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, mental health needs and other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I am completing postgraduate training in Sensory Integration, further developing my knowledge of sensory processing, regulation and their impact on participation, learning and everyday functioning.
I complete home and school-based assessments, sensory processing and functional assessments, and provide individualised interventions and recommendations. I contribute to Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and Education, Health and Care Plan processes, working collaboratively with families, schools, local authorities and other professionals.
I have experience working in adult social care and community settings, completing functional assessments and discharge to assess. I have experience providing recommendations relating to activities of daily living, equipment, moving and handling, housing needs and environmental adaptations to promote safety and independence.
My practice is person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming and evidence-based, with a focus on meaningful participation, independence, inclusion and quality of life.
I also volunteer as an Equity, Diversity and Belonging (EDB) Lead within the RCOT Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) Specialist Section.
