Anne-Marie O'Leary

I am a Neurological Occupational Therapist with over 20 years� experience who specialises in treating adults with acquired brain injuries, stroke and spinal cord injuries. I have worked in a wide variety of acute and rehabilitation settings and maintained a high standard of continued professional development. My recent experience includes 12 years managing an NHS acute neurology OT service and 10 years as an OT in private practice, predominately in the medico-legal sector. I have expertise in writing detailed rehabilitation reports and administering a wide range of outcome measures and cognitive assessments. I set SMART goals together with my clients, focusing on what is most important to them. I use a wide variety of approaches to support my clients achieve their goals including education, developing robust cognitive strategies, use of apps and technology, provision of equipment and adaptations, fatigue management, sleep hygiene and focus on routine and scheduling. I enjoy completing education and training with support workers to ensure the best support to my clients. I am particularly interested in cognitive and vocational rehabilitation and have worked with a number of clients to support their successful return to work. I work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team towards the achievement of a client�s goals.
