Anna qualified as an Occupational Therapist from the College of Ripon and York St, John, York in 1990. Having gained general skills within the acute physical setting Anna then specialised in the field of Neurology. Anna worked on the Stroke unit, St Georges Hospital, London before taking up a post as a Generic therapist in a rural Zulu hospital in South Africa. In 1998 Anna began working for the MOD as an Occupational Therapist in the Defence Services Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court. Anna worked in the Neurological team assessing and treating servicemen and woman with a variety of neurological deficits but most particularly acquired brain injury particularly those with cognitive and executive difficulties. Anna then worked a Brain Injury Clinical Case Manager for Head First providing Case Management services. Anna undertook extensive training with Dyspraxia UK to develop expertise in the area of neurodiversity. Anna is an associate of Dyspraxia UK. Anna is also a Therapeutic Listening ( Vital Links) practitioner . Anna has completed the NHA ( National handwriting Association ) handwriting course which looks at the best practice for assessment and treatment of handwriting difficulties. Anna is an NHA recognised tutor.
