Practising as an occupational therapist for over 25 years, Angela Birleson has gained a national reputation in the field of neurosciences and specialises in the rehabilitation of clients who have complex cognitive disabilities sustained through acquired brain injury.
Angela has worked with a wide range of professionals, and has many years' experience of co-ordinating and leading multi-disciplinary teams in a cohesive and consistent approach to achieve the client's goals.
Angela and has worked on guidelines for the National Institute of Clinical Excellence and the College of Occupational Therapists and has been a senate member of the Clinical Reference Group for Specialised Rehabilitation, NHS England. Angela is a strong advocate for sharing and using best evidence in occupational therapy neurosciences practice.
Angela is the Director of Elite Occupational Therapy Services Ltd, a group of highly specialised occupational therapists who work with adults and older children affected by brain injuries, amputations or Cerebral Palsy across the North East of England and Cumbria.
