Born to Be - OT

Born to Be – OT is an independent practice led by Amy, a HCPC and RCOT registered Occupational Therapist, specialising in supporting children and families across the UK.

Amy offers holistic assessment and intervention, with a focus on enabling children to thrive in education and everyday life. She provides both Adoption Support Fund (ASF) and EHCP assessments and packages, ensuring children’s statutory needs are clearly identified and met. Therapy is tailored to each child’s individual profile, drawing on expertise in Sensory Integration, Sensory Attachment Intervention, and neurodiversity.

Assessment areas and interventions may include:

Sensory processing and modulation

Emotional regulation and arousal

Gross and fine motor skills, including handwriting and coordination

Daily living skills and self-care

Attention, planning, and executive functioning

Support for children with ADHD, Autism, developmental trauma, and related needs

Amy works collaboratively with families, schools, and other professionals, creating joined-up support across homes, nurseries, and educational settings.

The ethos of Born to Be – OT is rooted in the belief that every child has the potential to flourish when their needs are understood. Through evidence-based practice and family-centred approaches, Amy aims to provide children with the foundations to feel safe, confident, and able to become who they were “born to be.”
