I work with children and young people who have a range of difficulties. These include autism, coordination difficulties, learning difficulties, ADHD. social and emotional problems, behaviour problems and physical difficulties. I have over 20 years experience working with children and young adults and over 23 years as an occupational therapist.
My area of expertise is sensory integration. I work closely with the child or young adult, family/carers, school and professionals involved. I recommend activity programmes and changes to improve function, e.g. alterations to the person's day, alterations to tasks and the environment. I provide evidence to support exam concessions or additional support. My reports are professional and readable, to ensure that they can be used by carers and any professionals that work with the child or young adult.
I write expert witness reports and SEN tribunal reports. I have completed expert witness training with Bond Solon, a leading legal training company. to produce court-compliant reports, give effective oral evidence, and understand law and procedure.
I provide bespoke training for parent groups, schools and professionals.
