After graduating from the University of Cumbria in 2015 I have gained a broad range of experience across both hospital and community settings including the NHS, Local Authority and the Private Sector with a focus on rehabilitation and acquired brain injury.
I am experienced in using both standardised and non standardised assessments, as well as a range of outcome measures to help capture the effectiveness of intervention.
I am confident in assessing a range of conditions including physical disability and progressive long term conditions. My special interest is acquired brain injury and in collaboration with clients I am able to formulate bespoke intervention treatment plans to maximise independence and support people back to their pre- injury level of function.
I am able to provide stand alone assessments and reports, bespoke rehabilitation intervention and education and advice for clients, families and care-givers. I am also able to provide support and training to care and support worker teams, having previously founded a CQC Registered rehabilitation home care company in Liverpool in 2019.
I am passionate about supporting people to 'live their best life' and ensure that intervention is structured around client led goals. My experience in the medico-legal field means that I am confident in report writing skills and aware of the importance of providing detailed immediate and progress update reports for solicitors, insurers and case managers within the required timescales.
