I have over 25 years experience working as an Occupational Therapist specialising in housing adaptations, equipment, seating and activities of daily living.
I am keen to assist people and their carers to maximize their abilities and independence and to promote their well-being in their home environment and in care home settings.
I will visit you and carry out a detailed assessment with you, discuss your goals and will provide a report and recommendations and advice to assist you. If you require assistance in obtaining quotes or carrying out joint visits with representatives I can assist you with this too. I can also advise re minor adaptations such as grab rails, stair rails, half steps etc and can provide a service to fit these items.
My interventions have included recommendations for stairlifts, throughfloor lifts, level access showers, kitchen design, ramps, wash dry toilets, ceiling track hoists. I also work with Housing Authorities on designing new build properties for disabled and elderly applicants.
