Rebecca is an Independent Occupational Therapist living in Tidworth, Wiltshire. She qualified with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy from the Welsh School of OT in Cardiff in 1982. Rebecca has many years experience working in the NHS with people with mental health problems, both in an inpatient setting and the community. Rebecca has worked mainly, but not exclusively, with older people. She has particular expertise of working with people with early cognitive problems and dementia. Rebecca has explored many of the issues of this condition with clients and their carers and has worked with them to develop strategies and make changes which can enable them to live well with dementia by maintaining their independence and skills. She is highly skilled in the use of a wide range of assessments, both cognitive and functional and is trained in the use of AMPS (Assessment of Motor and Process skills) Rebecca strongly believes in the values on which Occupational Therapy is founded and that participating in the activities of everyday life is essential to health and well-being. Helping enable people to do this to the best of their ability and satisfaction is the core of what she does. Rebecca is a member of COTSS-IP and registered with HCPC. (OT 11779). She has a current enhanced clearance from DBS.
