I am a highly skilled occupational therapist with international experience in the assessment and treatment of older people and people with neurological and complex conditions including; acquired brain injury, spinal cord injuries, polytraumas and progressive neurological conditions. For the last 8 years I have practiced in the NHS in major trauma and care of the elderly and continue to do so on a part time basis. This gives me a clear understanding of some of the limitations our wonderful NHS is under and I feel it is important people are able to access in-depth occupational therapy assessment and treatment in their own homes and communities. I believe goal setting is incredibly important on the journey to increasing independence and this helps me to form a treatment plan with the person and their loved ones. I am passionate about rehabilitation and achieving people's goals by utilising specific exercises or equipment and engaging people in meaningful activities.
