Ann Robinson's profile

Ann Robinson Royal College of Occupational Therapists and Specialist Sections; Neurological and Independent Practice member. Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered.

Ann Robinson

Since qualifying as an occupational therapist in 2004, Ann has worked extensively in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation, assessing and treating those with catastrophic injuries including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputation, brachial plexus injury and complex regional pain syndrome.

In 2017, Ann commenced working as an independent occupational therapist, remaining in her specialised area supporting adults with a range of severe neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. As a senior therapist, she is involved in the development of therapy services and supporting teams, evaluating services and developing care pathways.

Ann is competent at building professional relationships with clients and their families at a time of devastation and within multi and inter-disciplinary teams including external agencies and companies whilst developing client centred and specific treatment plans. She is familiar with auditing and measuring outcome measures to monitor progress and justify interventions. Due to the complexity of her cases, Ann is adept at completing risk assessments and implementing risk reduction strategies. She is able to advise on cognitive assessment and rehabilitation, manual handling of clients, upper limb assessment and treatment, address vocational rehabilitation needs and identify housing adaptation requirements. She is able to train and support others, be it colleagues, clients or support workers.

Due to her independent work, Ann is aware of the needs of the litigation team and is skilled in both her verbal and non-verbal communication with them and recording and presenting progress of clients appropriately whilst maintaining them at the heart of all her interventions.

Based in South London/Surrey border covering London and surrounding counties.
